Buoy Installation
Beginning in late 2019, LMLPA launched its Buoy Program in partnership with Alabama Marine Police/ALEA to provide and place solar lighted navigation buoys around the lake to enhance the safety of our recreational boaters and visitors.
LMLPA has been fundraising to cover the cost of each buoy. Each Coast Guard-approved buoy costs $700 with shipping and installation costs. As of July 2024, over $36,000 has been raised to purchase, install and maintain these buoys.
